I use artificial intelligence every day in my office, sometimes for charts, sometimes for research. But the brouhaha of how AI is going to kill us all in 10 years reminds me of all the other hoaxes that we've survived. The COVID hoax was the same people who claimed all the polar bears were dying and that if you didn't wear a face mask, you were going to kill everybody. How'd that work out for COVID? The global warming hoax, then Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. Do you remember the Y2K hoax that on midnight January 1, 2000, the entire world was going to disintegrate. Now we're told that we're all going to die if we don't give our government control of AI. These loons don't even tell us how AI is going to kill us, just that it will, and that we should shut up and trust the government. As for me, I don't think so.
